Where is a Pirate Ship when you need one?

Recently while reading about all the pirate activity going on off the north-eastern coast of Somalia.  I had the bizarre image of a bad reality TV show with tourists onboard trying to outwit the pirates as they sip on Margaritas, while navigating the shopping in Djibouti; something like “The Amazing Race”.   Somehow in my mind the pirates always win due to their sheer cunning and guile.  But most recently I read a story about a cruise ship that had run aground on ROCKS in of all places….  Antarctica!!!  Can we say COLD.  This comes one year after another cruise ship out playing that popular cruise ship game called “Titanic” hit of all things….. Now get this an Iceberg.  They win!

Hey pirates; these are very , very wealthy tourists on these cruise ships in Antarctica.  Here is a chance for you guys to get some good PR for just once.  Why don’t you just ride on down to Antarctica, gas prices are very low right about now and help some of those folks out, they will pay you handsomely for your assistance and you will look good to the world community at the same time.

President Bush and the cheap gas prices???  Is it me or am I the only one to notice that just maybe the things they told us in the recent past about fuel was just maybe a tall tale?  Does China still need fuel like they did last year?  What about India?  Have these emerging economic powers cut WAY,WAY,WAY,WAY back on their oil consumption or WHAT!!!  I know I still drive as much as last year…..well almost.  I do work from home 50% more than last year.  I still see many BIG Trucks and Hummers on the road… What is the secret that is driving down the fuel prices???  Could it be none other than the fact that BIG Oil realizes that the current administration “Big Oil Friendly” (BOF) is in its last days of existence.  They had one hell of a run with all the record profits quarter after quarter.  Just look at the graph.

As Arsenio Hall used to say…….. “Things that make you go hmmmmmm……..”

Well I just can’t stand it any more and since it is the day of “Yes I can” I damn will begin to lay out some NEW RULES FOR CELLULAR PHONE ETIQUETTE.

1.    You do not need to use the phone when you are sitting in a bathroom stall, tell them you will call them back before you enter the bathroom.
2.    Men you do not need to cradle your phone on your shoulder as you stand at the urinal, tell them you will call them back before you enter the bathroom.
3.    No person needs to come out of any bathroom door on the damn phone.
4.    When you are ordering food in a restaurant and the waiter has taken all the orders; you can tell your friend you can call them back after you have placed your order before the waiter comes to take the order.
5.    DO NOT TALK ON THE DAMN PHONE WHILE THE MOVIE IS PLAYING. I PAID WAY TOO MUCH FOR THE TICKET ANYWAY, PLEASE SHUT THE HELL UP OR QUIETLY TELL THEM HOLD ON AND STEP OUTSIDE THE THEATER AND RESUME YOUR LOUD ASS CONVERSATION.
6.    Keep your volume at a respectable level, I do not have to hear both your conversation and your new car stereo bass while I am pumping my gas in my car and by the way shut your damn door to your car, please.
7.    When talking about your private business remember; IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE YOUR PRIVATE BUSINESS, Too Much Information (TMI) for me.

I wanted to give 10 reasons but I realized that if we could just get the 7 above completed it would be a great day in my life.
