President Abraham Lincoln’s Options for Success had No Room for Failure.
In 1816 his family was forced out of their home.
In 1818 his mother died when he was 9 years old.
In 1832 he lost his job and was defeated for state legislature.
In 1833 he failed in business.
In 1835 his sweetheart died.
In 1836 he had a nervous breakdown.
In 1838 he was defeated for speaker of the house.
In 1843 he was defeated for nomination for Congress. (he was elected in 1846)
In 1848 He lost renomination ot Congress.
In 1849 he was rejected for land officer position.
In 1854 he was defeated for U.S. Senate.
In 1856 he lost the Vice Presidential nomination.
In 1858 he was defeated again for U.S. Senate.
In 1860 he was elected President of the United States of America.
We all can learn from such perseverance and determination.
Don’t Quit, Don’t Quit. Don’t Quit….
